【Itinerary】

Arrive in Shanghai on Day 1

International flights arriving at Shanghai Pudong or Hongqiao Airport. For flights arriving within two hours of each other, pick-up and transfer to the hotel will be arranged together.

Day 2 Shanghai-Hangzhou

After breakfast, drive to Hangzhou, the paradise on earth. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch, followed by a stroll along West Lake. In 2011, the “West Lake Cultural Landscape of Hangzhou” was successfully inscribed on the World Heritage List. West Lake is an outstanding example of landscape design under the Chinese aesthetic theories of “harmony between man and nature” and “finding meaning in nature,” showcasing the artistic style of “poetic and picturesque” pursued by Eastern landscape design since the Southern Song Dynasty.

Continue your tour of the G20 City Balcony. If the Qiantang River is a string of pearls connecting the historical corridors of Zhejiang, then the City Balcony is like a delicate and exquisite piece of jade between heaven and earth, dazzling under the shining sun and moon.

Day 3: Hangzhou – Wuxi

After breakfast, visit Meijiawu Tea Culture Village, one of the new ten scenic spots of West Lake. With its mountains, valleys, water, tea, and culture, Meijiawu is a first-class protected area and one of the main production areas of West Lake Longjing tea. It is also the most characteristic tea-growing rural village and tea culture leisure tourism area on the outskirts of Hangzhou.

After lunch, we will drive to Wuxi. Wuxi is the birthplace of Jiangnan civilization and Wu culture, with a recorded history dating back to the end of the Shang Dynasty. We will visit Changguangxi Wetland Park, the largest wetland park in Wuxi, an ecological wetland park integrating ecology, leisure, science education, and culture, where you can enjoy the beautiful autumn scenery.

Afterwards, visit the world-class Zen-inspired resort destination, [Nianhua Bay Zen Town + Brahma Flower Sea]. With Zen chants echoing in your ears, and the morning and evening light filtering through the clouds, stroll along the cobblestone paths of Nianhua Bay, bathed in warm sunlight, and take in the gentle beauty of the scenery. Day 4: Wuxi – Nanjing

After breakfast, we will visit the Taihu Pearl Factory to learn about the pearl production process. Wuxi Taihu pearls are known for their large size, superior quality, pure color, natural luster, and perfectly round shape, earning them the international reputation of “Wuxi Taihu pearls are the best in the world.” Empress Dowager Cixi of the Qing Dynasty once praised them, saying, “Southern pearls from the East are not as good as Taihu freshwater pearls.”

Continue your visit to the [Zisha Teapot Museum], the largest Zisha art museum in China, which houses masterpieces by many renowned artists and offers insights into the origin and production process of Zisha teapots.

After lunch, we will drive to Nanjing, the ancient capital of six dynasties, to visit the [Dongshuiguan Relics Park]. Dongshuiguan, formerly known as Shangshuimen, is one of the water gates of Nanjing’s city wall, opposite Xishuiguan (West Water Gate), and is the largest existing water gate in Nanjing. Dongshuiguan is a brick and stone structure with three levels. In ancient times, the upper two levels were used to house soldiers and store supplies, the lower level was used to regulate the water level of the Inner Qinhuai River and for flood control, and the iron fence in the middle was used to prevent enemy attacks by water. Dongshuiguan integrates water gate architecture with city wall architecture, a rare and unique feature in Chinese architectural history.

Afterwards, we will head to [Laomendong (a popular spot for online influencers),] an important part of the Confucius Temple-Qinhuai Scenic Area in Nanjing. Laomendong has a long history, with settlements dating back to the Three Kingdoms period. It is full of antique charm and offers a chance to experience the folk customs of old Nanjing. There are also a wide variety of snacks and specialty restaurants to enjoy.

Day 5: Nanjing—Yangzhou—Suzhou

After breakfast, we will visit the Nanjing Jade Museum. Nanjing has been a city renowned for its talented people and exquisite carving techniques, especially its jade craftsmanship.

Continue your tour to the Great Bao’en Temple and the Tiangong Art Museum. The Great Bao’en Temple was built by Emperor Yongle (Zhu Di) of the Ming Dynasty to commemorate Emperor Hongwu (Zhu Yuanzhang) and Empress Ma. In 2008, the underground palace of Changgan Temple, the predecessor of the Great Bao’en Temple, yielded a world-renowned discovery that shocked the world and the Buddhist community: the world’s only Buddha’s skull relic, “Relics of Miraculous Response,” “Relics of Various Saints,” and a large number of other world-class cultural relics and sacred objects, including the “Seven-Jeweled Ashoka Pagoda.” In 2011, it was named one of the “Top Ten Archaeological Discoveries of 2010 in China.”

After lunch, we will drive to Yangzhou, a city renowned for its culture and cuisine, and visit the Slender West Lake. “Of the three parts of the moonlit night in the world, two parts are in Yangzhou,” goes the saying. In such a picturesque and elegant city, Yangzhou’s nightlife is even more alluring and anticipated. Around the banks of the Slender West Lake, the bustling and romantic atmosphere of the Tang Dynasty’s vibrant city that never sleeps will be recreated.

Next, we visited Dongguan Street, a place often described as “a trip to Yangzhou isn’t complete without a visit to Dongguan Street.” Located in the northeastern corner of Yangzhou’s ancient Ming and Qing dynasty city, the Dongguan Historical and Cultural District was once a major commercial thoroughfare in the city. The area boasts numerous residences and gardens, many of which still retain their historical character. Afterwards, we drove to Suzhou and checked into our hotel upon arrival.

Day 6 Suzhou—Tongxiang Puyuan

After breakfast, view the exterior of Panmen, an ancient Yuan Dynasty building. Panmen is the only well-preserved ancient city gate in China that combines land and water access, and it has witnessed the development of Suzhou along with the ancient canal over the long years.

Visit a silk factory in Jiangnan to learn about the silk processing and production process. After lunch, enjoy a boat trip on the ancient canal, accompanied by tea tasting and Suzhou storytelling. The boat trip along the ancient canal showcases the unique charm of the Jiangnan water towns, with its antique buildings built along the water’s edge, featuring white walls, black tiles, and upturned eaves.

Afterwards, drive to Puyuan Fashion Ancient Town in Tongxiang to visit the newly opened Puyuan Fashion Ancient Town in 2023. Puyuan Fashion Ancient Town incorporates fashionable cultural elements into the original natural villages, creating a resort destination integrating sightseeing, vacation, business, and fashion.

The ancient town is predominantly built in the Tang and Song Dynasty architectural style, with rows of houses, old bluestone streets, and long, interconnected alleyways. A dense network of waterways within the town preserves the typical Jiangnan water town features of “parallel waterways and land routes,” “rivers and streets side by side,” and “pavilions built along the river.” In the evening, check into a hotel within the scenic area and feel free to explore the town’s enchanting night view.

Day 7: Tongxiang – Shanghai

After breakfast, we will visit the [Crafts and Art Museum] to learn about gemstone making and craftsmanship. Afterwards, we will visit the [Latex Processing Factory].

After lunch, we will drive to Shanghai, the Pearl of the Orient. Tonight we will check into the Peace Hotel, a luxurious landmark on the Bund, located on Nanjing Road. In the evening, guests are free to shop at their own expense on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, known as China’s premier pedestrian street, and have dinner at their own expense.

In the evening, you can visit the Bund at your leisure to enjoy the captivating scenery. The Bund’s architectural complex is Shanghai’s most historically, culturally, and aesthetically valuable group of modern buildings, known as the “World Architecture Expo,” and is world-renowned for its dazzling night view. Every evening, the city lights shine brilliantly, like a galaxy of stars, a truly mesmerizing sight.
