Uluru

Uluru (English: Uluru; Pitjanjajara: Uluṟu, also translated as Uluru or Uluru), also known as Ayers Rock, officially named Uluru or Ayers Rock by Australia since 2002, is located in the southern part of Australia's Northern Territory. It is a large sandstone rock formation formed in central Australia and is located in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The ancient rock formations of Uluru and Kata Tjuta rise from the ground, towering and majestic, and awe-inspiring. Hear the stories of the Aboriginal people's 500 million years of history and immerse yourself in the long river of history. In Australia's Red Centre, lies the spectacular Uluru and Kata Tjuta National Park. The park is home to many ancient wonders, the most famous of which is the monolith of the same name. Just 30 kilometres apart, Uluru and Kata Tjuta rise from the ground in a red, holy, and awe-inspiring glory. At 348 metres tall and 9.5 kilometres in circumference, Uluru is the world’s largest single sandstone monolith, while Kata Tjuta is made up of 36 giant sandstone domes spread over 20 kilometres. Both sites are deeply rooted in the spiritual beliefs of the local Anangu people and have been considered sacred by them for more than 30,000 years.
